Biological age
A glass-box model of how you are ageing.
The Blood Age Score is a single, readable number across five biological systems — every marker that goes into it is documented and explained to you by your doctor.
How we measure
From blood marker to biological age
We compare each marker to the level linked to the lowest long-term risk for your age and sex, weight the five systems by how strongly each predicts long-term health, and turn the result into your biological age. The scoring rules are documented; nothing is hidden behind a black box.
The five domain ages
- Heart Age — lipids, cardiovascular markers
- Metabolic Age — glucose, insulin, liver
- Inflammatory Age — inflammation and immune markers
- Hormonal Age — sex, thyroid and stress hormones
- Nutritional Age — vitamins, minerals, micronutrients

Important
The Dr Vahe Longevity Assessment is a preventative health and wellness service. The Blood Age Score and biological-age estimate are tools to communicate and track your health, not a medical diagnosis. This service does not replace NHS screening programmes or care from your GP. Results are interpreted by a GMC-registered doctor.
